Before any repair or maintenance operation, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

Always take care when moving appliances. For heavy appliances it's safest for two persons to move it. Always use safety gloves and safety footwear. Wear safety gloves at all times to protect from cuts from sharp edges.

HOW TO REPLACE ROTARY SELECTOR, HOB CONTROL

Screw placement and their number may differ depending on appliance.

1. Unscrew the screws under the hob front panel.

2. Remove the hob front cover by pulling it forward (NOTE: If stiff use a flat bladed screwdriver wrapped in a cloth to protect the paint on the cover).

3. Unscrew the screw for the earth tag connected to the hob front panel. (NOTE: Ensure all earth connections are reconnected when reinstalling)

4. Pull the control knobs up to remove and then unscrew the screws holding the selector switches in place.

5. Carefully disconnect the wiring connector(s) from the rotary selector. NOTE: Take a photo before disconnecting the wiring to ensure correct reinstallation.

6. Transfer the gasket from the rotary selector to the new rotary selector.

7. When assembling, repeat steps in reverse order.
