Before using your AEG washing machine or washer dryer for the first time
Resolution
Before using your AEG washing machine or washer dryer for the first time, follow a few initial steps to ensure proper usage.
Remove transit bolts
Ensure that the three transit bolts that hold the drum in place during transportation have been removed. Otherwise, they can cause damage to the drum and affect your appliance’s warranty.
1. Unscrew the bolts on the back of the appliance using a spanner or a socket wrench
2. Slide out the plastic spacers and fill the holes with the supplied plastic plug caps
Note: We recommend that you keep the transit bolts for any future movement of the appliance. The transit bolts must be reattached to lock the drum to prevent internal damage.
Run high temperature programme
1. Make sure the drum is empty.
2. Pour 2 litres of water into the main wash detergent compartment
.
3. Add a small quantity of detergent in the same compartment.
4. Run a cotton programme at the highest temperature. Or, if your appliance as the Machine Clean programme, run this one instead.
Connect to the app
If your washing machine or washer dryer can be used with the AEG app, learn how to connect your appliance here.
