How to get started with your AEG air purifier

Before you start using your AEG air purifier for the first time, have a look at the information below.

For more information about your specific air purifier model, check the user manual. Make sure you set up the air purifier according to the instructions and read the safety precautions.

1. Prepare your air purifier

• If there is protective film on the control panel, remove it.
• Remove the plastic protective bag from the filters, then install the filter back into the air purifier.
• If your air purifier has a humidification function, install the humidifier filter and fill the tank with water (maximum 40°C).

2. Place your air purifier

Place the air purifier on the floor, on a flat surface. Make sure there are no obstacles that can restrict the airflow. There should be at least 30 cm of space around the air purifier.

3. Download the app

With the AEG app, you can control the air purifier remotely. You also have access to additional features, such as indoor air quality data. You can track the air quality during different periods.

Download the app in the App Store or Google Play. If you are a first-time user, you will have to create an account. Sign in and follow the instructions to connect your air purifier.

Note: The app can only be used on selected models.

Features on your air purifier

Air quality sensors
Air quality sensors on your air purifier analyse the air quality. You can see the real-time air quality through different colours of light. Check the user manual to see what applies to your model.

SMART mode
In SMART mode, the air purifier decides the appropriate fan speed based on the air quality in the room.

SMART QUIET mode
In SMART QUIET mode, the air purifier runs as quietly as possible to allow for sleep. The control panel indicators are also dimmed, and the fan speed is lower.

Child lock
The safety lock feature disables the product control panel to avoid unintended pressing. When the control panel is locked, you can only make changes through the app. To turn on this feature, press and hold the Mode and Power buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The child lock icon will light up when the feature is activated.

Note: The child lock feature is only available on selected models.

Ioniser
Some appliances have an ioniser module that improves air purification even more. You turn this feature on in the app or by pressing and holding the Mode and Fan buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. You will see an ioniser icon light up when the feature is activated.

Good to know

When you use the air purifier, close doors, windows, and other openings that connect to the outside of the room. This will generate better airflow and clean the air more effectively.
