How to use the child lock and lock function on your AEG induction hob
Resolution
Use the lock functions on your AEG induction hob to prevent accidental operation of the hob while cooking or cleaning it.
How to use the lock function
Turn on the lock function to lock the control panel while you are cooking on the hob. This prevents you from accidentally changing the heat setting.
Turn on the lock function:
1. Turn on the hob
2. Activate lock: Press ![]()
Turn off the lock function:
Deactivate lock: Press ![]()
NOTE: The function does not stop the timer functions.
How to use the child lock function
Turn on the child lock function to lock the control panel when not using the hob. When you’re cooking, you can temporarily turn it off – it will remain active even after you turn off the hob, so you don’t have to lock it again after each use. We recommend using a child lock when you are cleaning the hob.
If your induction hob has a touchscreen, enter the menu to turn on or off the child lock. Otherwise, follow the instructions below.
Turn on the child lock function:
1. Press and hold
to activate function, until the indicator above the symbol appears.
Turn off the child lock function:
1. Press ![]()
2. Press and hold
for up to 4 seconds until the indicator above the symbol disappears.
3. Press
to turn off the hob.
Cooking with child lock active:
1. Press ![]()
2. Press and hold
for up to 4 seconds until the indicator above the symbol disappears.
3. Start cooking by selecting heat level on one or multiple zones.
4. As you turn off the hob by pressing
, the function is active again.
