Issue

  • Oven displays SAFE or padlock symbol. It indicates that the child safety lock is activated.
  • How to turn off the Child Lock?

Applies to

  • Integrated oven

Resolution

If your oven displays SAFE or a PADLOCK symbol:

  • CHILD LOCK is activated, preventing children from playing with the applance
  • PYROLYTIC CLEANING is running (when the oven cools down to a safe temperature the door will automatically unlock). For safety reason the door cannot be unlocked while this function is running.

To disable the lock and resume unrestricted use of the oven, it is necessary to find and apply the correct combination of buttons specific to the oven model.

Refer to the description in the user manual, as the methods for disabling the lock vary depending on the model.
