After cleaning the pump filter, the washing machine hums and does not start washing

• After cleaning the pump filter, when starting the washing program, the washing machine does not start, does not take in water, and makes a humming noise.

Resolution

After cleaning the pump filter, the machine may emit a humming noise and not start washing for several reasons. One possible cause of your washing machine problem is that the pump filter is not installed properly after cleaning. In this case, make sure that the filter is correctly positioned and tightened to ensure a proper seal.

Tighten the filter by hand only, do not use pliers!

Then, to check if your washing machine is working properly, follow these steps:

1. Pour about 2 liters of cold water into the washing machine drum. Close the washing machine door.
2. Turn on the appliance and set the selected washing programme.
3. Start the wash with the Start/Pause button.

Cause

• At the beginning of each washing program, the appliance starts by pumping out the remaining water from the pump filter.
