Issue

  • Can I wash the AX5 / AX7 air purifier filter?

Applies to

  • AEG air purifiers (AX7, AX5 series)

Resolution

  • The high efficiency particle and the odour (activated carbon) filters cannot be washed. Washing them may destroy the filter material and hence reduce their performance significantly.
  • The pre-filter (mesh) can however be washed and should be cleaned regularly. It can also be cleaned with just a vacuum cleaner.
