Total Volatile Organic Compounds are emitted gases from certain solids or liquids, including a variety of chemicals, that can accumulate in your home. Not all VOCs are harmful, many VOCs are relatively benign. For example, oranges and coffee beans emit VOCs.
Please ensure the air purifier is fitted & used with an activated carbon filter for effective reduction of VOC and other odours.
Upon first use, it may take up to 48 hours for the VOC sensor to self calibrate, during which, the sensor values may fluctuate and hence be inaccurate. To speed up the calibration, where feasible, please expose the room that has the air purifier to fresh outdoor air by opening a door or a window.
In addition to using an activated carbon filter, to quickly reduce the indoor concentration of VOC it is best to ventilate the room by opening the windows or doors to the outside air OR by reducing the use of materials & products that emit high levels of VOC (e.g. certain paints).
If the problem persists, try cleaning the sensor area - refer to the user manual care section for the sensors for more details - and see if this helps resolve the problem.
